Alcohol is known to hinder weight loss so if weight loss is a goal of yours you will need to keep alcohol at a max 2-3 standard sized drinks per week absolute max.

Which alcohol to choose?

With alcohol it’s not just about calories – so no matter what kind of alcohol you choose to have for those drinks, you cannot go for more than 2-3 per week. On top of this you will then need to allow for the calories of your drink in your daily allowance. So as long as you have calories to spare you can drink your choice of beverage – beer, wine, cider or spirits.
